What about Josh brown and Eric who did sound at the Blue Gator? Also, I have to agree. I've only played O'Hooley's (Jackie O's) twice in 10 years, and that's enough for me. Played last night and that place is definitely not build for a rock band. I'm sure if I played there more often, I would eventually learn the nuances of the room and adjust. However, I don't feel the need for that investment right now... Heck, the Smiling Skull has better sound characteristics than that place. They need some monitors suspended from the ceiling or something. I thought they were supposed to be re-designing the place and move the bar? |

" did you really just name Union sound people three deep?" Yes. Do you play music in bars? Have you played music in bars outside of Athens? Are you a closeted retard? Lowell did a good job at Casa. I don't know if he still works there. I left Athens 2 years ago. The sound in Casa for anything louder than a Chris Beister open stage is really bad. Sorry if you sleep with someone who works there. I agree the Skull is far superior to Casa, and the Blue Masturbator. I greatly appreciate the Union because they run better sound than any of the clubs in Columbus. When I come down to Athens it's usually to see friends, not frequent the Athens bar scene. |

i do agree that the union has the best sounding room. i don't want to pick a best sound person because doing sound for a DJ is a lot less involved than working for an entire band. i will say that scott winland is the best light person. |

Just to make it straight I wasn't saying that Tessa's sound work was not any good. I was there Saturday night and the sound was great. It just seems that you are stating your love of the Union more than who is actually the best sound people in town. To be honest I believe that there are probably five or six or more in town that are equally talented. Josh, Gavin, Eric, Johnny, Cube, Eric, all do good sound as well. I personally see 90% of my music at the Union and I see music most weekends. I am not a musician though or a tard. I am just a drunk who can play a little kazoo. |

Gavin G. has been the best guitarist in Athens for a loooong time. Junebug Slave played drums on a 7" that is probably worth a months rent on Ebay. Johnny dances better than any one you know so stop frontin'. I ain't being greety. |
