Another gratuitous writing opportunity, and a way for me to keep track of my soundtrack.

"The First Girl I Ever Loved" has been in my head since tuesday night. going to bed and waking. "Nachez Whistle" was first in the queue this morning, but was quickly supplanted by the previous, dominant song.

Was angered by numerous things in the past couple days. Stupid things. Is it true what Robert Anton Wilson said, that women have a 28 day cycle, andmen have a 23 day cycle. It's on record now. I'll start counting.

Life is a big experiment. We are both the scientist and the subject.

people breathing underwater, a big ol' owl based critter who was riding shotgun over an evil house. much too much to consider right now.

i took this from a fella on the VS-Planet, a user group full of suckas like me who own Roland gear:

There are three types of people:
Those who make things happen...Those who watch things happen...and Those who wonder what happened.

weekend in rearview

Songs in my head upon waking in the last several days: this morning, "Wild Horses" (my version warped from the warped Old and in the Way version); "They're Going to Tear Down the Grand Old Opry" (John Hartford); also this morning, first thing, a new song i have "written" called "13 Miles in the Key of C," a previously troublesome little ditty due to the incongruous meshing of two seemingly disparate parts. They have since made friends, and i quite like the song. i hope to debut it this friday at Bruce Dalzell's open stage.

Good weekend of music for me. Three gigs in two days.

I have had some new ideas about the radio show, Radio Free Athens. I do the local music portion from 5-6pm on Saturdays 1340 AM, online at woub.org. I am prepared to start bringing in some people for interviews and in-studio sessions, just singles and duos for a while, Studio B is small, and then hopefully some bands. I am excited for this, the local portion has been a little on the slim side because i don't have much material to work with. Then, with the interviews in the can, i can integrate that into an article for the paper, and the AMN. i am very excited about this, and hope to begin soon on this endeavor. I really feel it is important to document our little scene. It is too cool for this school.

Ahh, life is wasted on the living....
